Dhaka Ahsania Mission is going to start the project "Empowering Local and National Humanitarian Actors (ELNHA)" with the support of Oxfam, GB and looking for the following position:

Salary : BDT-46,000/month (Including 2 festival bonuses)
Job Summary:
Project Manager is responsible for activity planning, budgeting, implementing the ELNHA project activities, liaison with Donor, GoB and other counter parts, conducting and arrange different training/meeting, Coordinating with project stakeholders, and advocacy work, facilitating enhancement of humanitarian preparedness and response capacity of the organization along with the relevant local and national humanitarian actors in the district. The vital role is to provide support to the team members in thematic areas and build an effective team. Another important role-to keep proper documentation and reporting to the higher authority and donor is required.
Specific Job description for the position:

Responsible for overall project implementation and supervision of the activities of subordinates and efficient management of the affairs of DAM & Donor and in doing so strictly adhere to rules, regulation, instructions and directions ;

Support and formulate a shared humanitarian agenda to be developed in coordination with other humanitarian actors of the ELNHA project;

Maintain strong coordination with district and City Corporation level authorities and share the humanitarian agenda’s as project requirements;

Participate and support local & national level influencing advocacy initiatives and close coordination with the Senior Influencing Officer of ELNHA Project of Oxfam, Bangladesh;

Facilitate the application of a MEAL (Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning) system in close coordination with the Senior Meal Officer of ELNHA project of Oxfam Bangladesh;

Produce clear and quality reports that demonstrate good accountability focusing on gender in humanitarian work, disability and other cross-cutting issues;

Prepare quality periodical and special project reports on time and share with Oxfam and other relevant actors;

Initiate the procurement, appropriate use and maintenance of equipment, goods and services as needed to achieve the project’s objectives, while applying the organisation’s policies and systems;

Represent the organisation at internal and external forums/networks; establishing and maintaining contact with a range of organizations and individuals who can support the project

Lead the effective use and implementation of the ELNHA Humanitarian Capacity Development Fund and the Humanitarian Response Grant Fund and ensure that the funds are used according to guidelines and procedures;

Gain familiarity with and ensure adherence to international humanitarian principles and standards such as the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS);

Coordinate and institutionalize the emergency management policy and plans for the organization;

Coordinate/oversee the management of emergencies that affect the prorramme areas when additional resources are required and/ or when the organizational arrangements can complement/enhance current work;

Prepare situation report, conduct Joint Needs Assessment( JNA) through collecting information from other implementing partners;

Keep advance information of impending hazards and disseminate to the concern channel and control over the hot line and ensure the dissemination and communication and maintain roaster of standing team for emergency response;

Make fruitful representation and presence in different Clusters and Cash Working Group meeting and maintain close coordination with different ministries to collect accurate data (pre- and post crisis of disaster);
Education and Experience:

Masters in Disaster Management or Masters in Social Science or related subject

At least 7 years working experience preferably in the development field or climate change & DRR sector;
Professional and Technical Skills:
-
Ability to establish good relationship and rapport with stakeholders and partners; allure cooperation from other teams and maintain networks outside the organization;

Skills to use different technological resources (computer, multimedia projector, internet, email, computer aided systems, widely used software etc);

Excellent presentation, facilitation and writing skill both in Bangla & English;

Strong interpersonal communication and networking skill;

Media (Print, electronic and Social media) relations skills
