Assistant Director, Resource Mobilization

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a National NGO with Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC and UNESCO. It works for social and spiritual development of the human community. Founded with the motto of 'Divine and Humanitarian Service', over last 60 years DAM has been serving the human community for improved living conditions enhancing people’s capacities to maximally utilize their inner potentials. DAM's current diversified works encompass multi-dimensional field programs and self-governing institutions in education, health, wash and economic development sectors in Bangladesh, looking for Assistant Director, Resource Mobilization for immediate appointment.

Duties and  Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director, Resource Mobilization will be responsible for donor engagement, fundraising and proposal writing, and managing high value fundraising projects, international partnership development and mobilization of strategic resources to support the Programme /Projects and Institutions of Dhaka AhsaniaMission (DAM). The Assistant Director, Resource Mobilization will be entrusted with the following responsibilities but not limited to:

• Develop fundraising strategy in line with the international fundraising policy

• Provide necessary support to DAM’s overseas offices in respect of projects and other relevant issues, which need to be communicatedfrequently and promptly.

• Develop International Partnership and search for potential funding opportunities in respect of  RMU’s functional activities

• Processing of nomination papers as well as preparation of reports for UN ECOSOC, UNDPI, UNESCO, etc. and submit to appropriate agencies.

• Liaise with NGO Affairs Bureau and other government agencies in getting approval of DAM projects as well asensuring timely submission of Project Proposal/Project Progress Reports to donors.

• Take initiative in identifying funding opportunities and sharing the information with the Management.

• Initiating necessary follow-up activities on the proposals submitted to various donors as well as replying to their queries and completion of their specific project pro-forma, if any

• Arrange meetings between the President and potential donors, who show interest to extend their support to Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital (AMCGH) and other projects.

• Prepare Annual work plan and constantly follow-up for its implementation.

• Writing Minutes of the Meetings

• Assist in mobilization of non-financial resources from private sectors entities, individuals and corporate agencies.

• Contribute in publication of DAM E-Newsletter highlighting generated funds and mobilized resources and distribute the same to the donors

• Ensure that fundraising and resource mobilization information are updated on DAM website.

• Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the Management.

Job Nature: Full Time

Educational Requirements: Musters in any discipline

Experience Requirements:At least 7 years of Resource Mobilization experience in a renowned NGO/INGO

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in Resource Mobilization or similar job;
• In depth knowledge of resource mobilization strategies;
• Excellent time-management skills;
• Excellent writing and verbal skills in both English and Bangla;
• Excellent  interpersonal communication skills;
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point etc.;
• Integrity and confidentiality;
• Self-motivated and able to work under stressful situations;
• Good in keeping office records
• Must be willing to work beyond office hours
• Self-Confident.

Job Location:
Head Office, DAM in Dhaka

Salary:
Negotiable, applicants should mention their expected salary in the application.

Age limit:
At most 50 years, age limit may be relaxed for highly deserving candidates.
