Job Context:
Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) invites applications for the following positions for immediate appointment in the ongoing SHOUHARDO III Project, in partnership with CARE Bangladesh and funding support of USAID. The goal of the project is to “Improve gender equitable food security, nutrition and resilience of vulnerable people within Bangladesh for 549, 00 poor and extremely poor people by 2020” . DAM is implementing the SHOUHARDO III program in   Sunamganj ( Tahirpur & Dowarabazar Upazillas) and Hobiganj ( Baniachang & Ajmiriganj Upazillas) districts supported by CARE Bangladesh.

Job Description / Responsibility:

The Upazila Coordinator (UzC) is primarily responsible for ensuring planning and quality program delivery in the assigned area. The UzC will directly supervise the Technical Officers (TOs) and will guide the TOs to supervise and support the Field Trainers (FTs) to implement the SHOUHARDO III Program ensuring quality, integration of purposes and sustainability. The UzC will coach and guide his/her team and will ensure an open learning environment within the team. The UzC will be responsible for administration, planning, monitoring and evaluation of project components and making recommendations for improvements of project activities.

Educational Requirements

• Masters of Social Science or any other relevant discipline or Bachelor of Social Science or any other relevant discipline (In case of Bachelor degree 10 years working experience must).

Experience Requirements

• 8 to 10 year(s)

Additional Requirements

• At least 8-10 years working experience in development sector including 5 years' experience in project implementation, monitoring and field staff supervision
• Clear understanding on livelihood/food security project implementation strategy and concept
• Strong coordination and networking skill with Upazila level GO, NGO officials, UP and private sector actors
• Strong facilitation skills, good knowledge of good governance, gender equity and dimensional interventions
• Experience on participatory process, community mobilization, and problem solving and community empowerment process

• Reporting skills in both English and Bangla
• Computer skills on MS Word, excel, power point and others
• Willing to drive motor cycle and should have valid driving license

• Upazila Coordinator should be given preference for recruitment from respective district or minimum from respective division
