Child Rights & Advocacy Officer (CR&AO) -01

The CR&AO will explore possibilities of engaging with and strengthening existing platforms for child-led advocacy. This includes the Children’s Parliament and children’s task forces/Networks. As these existing platforms are often not inclusive of the most vulnerable or marginalized children specially who are street connected.

Essential requirements for post holder are Post Graduate Degree in Social Science/ Law/ Human Rights/ Child Rights/Protection or similar qualification with 4-5 years of practical experiences in policy advocacy to multiple stakeholders at local and national level. A good understanding of the local context and opportunities and barriers to creating change. Experience of working directly with highly vulnerable and marginalized children, adults and communities in particular child laborers. Knowledge of children’s rights and the relevant national legal/policy framework. Business level English plus fluency in the national language. Knowledge of and passion for the program content, issues and approach e.g. child labor, participatory approach. Willingness to travel to and work with communities living in poverty in remote areas. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Applicants should have vast knowledge about Microsoft Office package Based on Computer Application Program. Age limit 45 years. Duty Station- Head Office, Dhaka including frequent field visit.
