Job Context:
Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) invites applications for the following positions for immediate appointment in the Orphan Kind Project, in partnership with Penny Appeal Bangladesh.  The goal of the project is to “To reduce the suffering of the orphans and vulnerable children, built their capacity through giving them love, care, education and protection so that they become productive member in the society in the near future”. DAM is going to implement one year long Orphan Kind Project ,with financial support of Penny Appeal   in Debhata Upazilla under Satkhira  districts of Bangladesh.

Field Officer-  02  positions

Job Description / Responsibility:

The field officer , based at Union level is responsible for   i )  Proper identification of orphan children  following criteria mentioned in the project   proposal ii) Prepare profile of selected orphan iii) Mobilization the community iv) Help to enroll the orphan near by school v) Help to provide need based medical treatment to orphan child  vi) Complementary food items distribution among the orphan in consultation with community people vii) Conduct counseling session in the orphan family viii) Conduct need based awareness session on different issues  ix) Organize excursion & recreation events x)  Facilitate to conduct CDC (Community Development Committee) meeting xi) Trainee selection by trade and choice

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Social Science/  other any discipline

Experience Requirements

• 2 to 3 year(s)

Additional Requirements

• Resides in the union of assignment
• 2/3 years' experience in development projects/ multi sectoral projects
• Good understanding of Bangla and basic English Language
• Capacity to handle community people and write basic reports
• Good communication and facilitation capacity
• Have to ride bi-cycle

Tk. 17,000. (Monthly)
