Dhaka Ahsania Mission has agreed to provide technical assistance to ICCO Cooperation in implementing the ‘WFP Word Bank Skills development project’has designed for the Rohynga Community. The Supervisor has the overall responsibilities to supervise and monitor the center and ensure the competency based training and assessment. The Trainer has the overall responsibility is organizing and conducting the skills training, preparing and updating the learning materials, organize and conduct formative and summative assessment, follow up for ensuring the trainee attendance, liaise with community, assist supervisor to implement the program, under the field of Competency Based Training and Assessment. S/he ensure and provides the quality training and inputs in lessons learnt that lead to improvement and development of the program at camp levels.

Major Job Descriptions:

  • Organize and conduct skills training following the CBTA method.  
  • Develop and maintain learning materials as per the CBTA method.
  • Organize and conduct formative assessment. 
  • Organize practical classes in the workplace (Practice in demo).
  • Organize and conduct summative assessment.
  • Follow up and maintain trainees. 
  • Ligase with community for organizing practical session.
  • Communicate with prospective trainee’s parents/ guardians and other stakeholders as when required.
  • Ensuring OSH for trainees and training room.
  • Assist center manager to smooth operation of Vocational Training Center. 
  • Provide information to Adolescent on employment, attendance and related to new trends for the occupations.
  • Report to Supervisor time to time to update the program.
  • Maintain the stock register daily.
  • Any other duties concerned with job assigned by legal management.

Supervisor (Skills Development Center)

Key Competencies to acquire and practice:

  • Specialized experience on supervising the technical and vocational education and training in national or International organization/s.
  • Maintaining Competency Based Learning Materials.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience within the field of TVET as Manager/ Master Trainer.
  • Experience in implementation of skills development program.
  • Certified/ experience in organizing and conducting competency based training and assessment.
  • Practical knowledge and skills in Interpersonal communication & supervision.

Skills required demonstrating:

  • Ability to handle all staff, to be a team player and work under pressure.
  • Supervise the Vocational Training Center with maintaining standard as DAM guidance.
  • Demonstrating the Competency based training and assessment at training venue and workplace.
  • Supervision and monitoring skills.
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills in English and Bengali.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with MSWord, Excel, Power Point.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a willingness to assume responsibilities and take initiative.

  • Act as lead to oversee and supervise vocational training center operations and coordinates center activities through assigned staff.
  • Serves as a key liaison with center managers, particularly in relations to their advisory and training support of center, including working in organizing and conducting training relating to vocational training center.
  • Prepares reports, keeps records and financial statements.
  • Designs, develops and maintain training learning materials and resources.
  • Organize and conduct workshops, meetings, and seminar or related to the training center programs. 
  • Evaluates center activities and staff performance for effectiveness to develop improved methods.
  • Maintains follow up, field visit and very good communication with all stakeholder of the Center.
  • Confers with and advises staff, trainees and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance and center goals.
  • Provides assistance and information to head office, center, staff and outside organizations regarding good operation of the center.
  • Represents center in public relations/ liaison capacity on matters relating to the center's research and projects.
  • Outstanding analytical and writing skills in concept papers and progressive reports.
  • Proven ability to quickly understand complex challenges and propose solutions in organized. 
  • Understanding of development programs with special focus on TVET program especially in Emergency Program.
  • Follow up and ensure the quality of the training.
  • Ensure 80% ratio of the demonstration in the daily training plan.
