Job Context
- Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Rights & Governance (R&G) is considered as one of the cross-cutting sectors of DAM dedicated toward the right-based developmental approach. R&G Sector is flourishing through its multidimensional projects & institutes based upon rights oriented causes.
- "ASHSHASH (Phase-II) is a project of WINROCK International which is implemented by DAM through a partnership agreement. This 3 year, 4 month Ashshash (Phase-II) project is funded by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh through WINROCK International. The main objective of the project is to ensure that "women and men who have escaped trafficking will restore their dignity and well-being and become self-sufficient". The survivors will be provided psychosocial counselling support along with other social services and facilitated opportunities for skill-development and entrepreneurship training. Upon completion of the training survivors will be placed in either wage-based and or self-employment. Furthermore, Ashshash will reach people in the project`s working areas; either directly or indirectly, through awareness-raising activities on factors that make people vulnerable to human trafficking, and to ensure the prevention of human trafficking.
- Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for the different position for ASHSHASH Phase-II project under Dhaka West and Manikganj District.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall provision of psychosocial counselling services to human trafficking survivors, through Ashshash's SRPs.
- Maintain proper discretion and confidentiality to build trust with the Men and Women Who Have Escaped Trafficking (survivor of human trafficking), their family and peers/community
- Conduct comprehensive Mental State Examination (MSE) of clients for enrolment in psychosocial counselling support service.
- Maintain a systemic and detailed case management process, maintaining privacy and confidentiality of the survivors.
- Lead and conduct a comprehensive 'Needs-Assessment' of the survivors to identify primarily the social services (and secondarily, the economic services) that will be required for their specific contexts.
- Maintain survivors' confidentiality of information throughout the ongoing process of counselling, and build trust with their families, peers, and communities.
- Provide psychosocial counselling support to the survivors, their families and communities, based on their need and context following 'Do No Harm' principles throughout the reintegration process.
- Documentation, record keeping and maintain all kinds of forms/registers, reports, files, guideline and other documents related to his/her jurisdiction. e.g., counselling, psychosocial support, behavioural data collection etc.
- Support in providing career counselling and the follow-up support to the survivors at the throughout the economic empowerment process.
- Provide support to ensure baseline, mid-line, and final evaluations are conducted accurately, considering Winrock International's and the donor's requirements; and
- Support to prepare monthly, quarterly and other periodical reports as per guideline and requirement of Ashshash.
- Maintain close liaison with other relevant stakeholders from government and non-government organizations.
- Participate in different training, meeting, workshop, seminar, symposium organized by the project and other counterpart.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Required Languages: Strong written and oral command in Bangle/English is required.

Educational Requirements
- Postgraduate/Graduate preferably in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Science or any other relevant discipline.
Additional Requirements
- Age at most 45 years (Flexible for highly experienced candidates);
- Having experience on working with the trafficking survivors or relevant group in providing psychosocial counselling
- Experience in reintegration services for human trafficking survivors, or vulnerable and at-risk groups.
- Experience with the detailed documentation of providing counselling services to trafficking survivors or vulnerable and at-risk groups, and detailed reporting mechanisms;
- Having certification upon completion of courses in psychosocial counselling services.
- Perceived positive attitude and sensitivity to support vulnerable and at-risk groups, and communities.
- Strong understanding of gender and diversity issues;
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills;

Salary
- 28,000 – 30,000 BDT (consolidated) per month (Yearly 4% inflation)
